Senior Residential Support Worker, Birkenhead
The Supply Service are recruiting for a Senior Residential Support Worker on behalf of a Children's Residential home based in Birkenhead, Merseyside.
This role has a shift rota of 3on/3off - 14 hours shifts
- 8am start
- 10am start
- 11am start
Successful applicants will have the ability to adapt to different settings effectively, whilst supporting children and young people aged 11 to 18 with a range of acute and enduring mental health issues.
Challenging and complex needs are present, including mental health issues and associated learning needs.
The Residential home accommodates 7 young people and staff work on a 3 on - 3 off rota. Sleep-ins average around x3 per month
Responsibilities include:
- Be a positive role model whilst leading shifts under the direction of the Home Manager
- Creating a positive environment & atmosphere to accommodate the needs of the young person
- Providing appropriate care and support as identified in the young person’s placement plan
- Providing support & preparation towards independence for young people
- Support & Guidance to young people by removing barriers to learning in order to promote effective participation, enhance individual learning, raise aspirations and achieve their potential.
