The Supply Service are recruiting for a Maths Teacher to represent us on a long-term assignment within a secondary school based in Ellesmere, Shropshire.

This is an excellent opportunity for a Maths specialist looking for a secure long-term placement during the Autumn Term.

• Monday to Friday
• Start Date – Tuesday 13th October 2026
• Long-term assignment until Friday 18th December 2026
• Two-week October half term – 19th to 30th October
• Opportunity to attend the school for an initial day before commencing the placement
• £172.97 – £195.00 per day

We’re looking for a strong, reliable Maths Teacher who is confident delivering Maths across KS3 & KS4, including GCSE level.

The successful teacher will be covering a planned absence and will therefore have the opportunity to become a consistent member of the school team throughout the placement, providing continuity for pupils during an important part of the academic year.

The school would like the successful candidate to initially attend for one day prior to the placement, giving both the teacher and school an opportunity to meet before the full assignment begins.

As a Maths Teacher you’ll need to have:

• Maths subject specialism and confidence teaching to GCSE level
• QTS or an appropriate teaching qualification
• Strong classroom and behaviour management skills
• Excellent organisational and lesson planning skills
• Empathy and patience
• Ability to maintain a positive learning environment
• Strong rapport-building skills with pupils and staff
• Commitment to safeguarding children at all times

Requirements:

• QTS Certificate / recognised teaching qualification
• Child-based references
• Enhanced DBS Check
