The Supply Service are recruiting for an experienced Team Leader on behalf of a specialist therapeutic residential home based in Welshpool, Powys.
This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced residential childcare professional who is already working at Team Leader level, or an established Senior who has significant experience leading shifts and is ready to take the next step in their career.
The role involves supporting young people aged 11–18 with complex and challenging needs within a therapeutic residential environment.
As Team Leader, you will take responsibility for managing, supporting and supervising a team of approximately 6–8 staff, ensuring consistently high standards of care and good working practice.
This is a substantial leadership role. As a team of 6–8 can represent the entire staff team within some residential settings, we are looking for applicants whose previous experience demonstrates that they are ready to take responsibility for a team of this size.

The size and structure of the applicant’s current or previous residential setting will be taken into consideration, particularly where their experience demonstrates responsibility equivalent to managing a substantial staff team.
Experience of working within a Therapeutic Community would be highly advantageous.
Previous experience supporting young people with Harmful Sexual Behaviour (HSB) would also be advantageous.

Working Pattern
The home operates a 2 days on / 4 days off rota, providing a working pattern that promotes a healthy work-life balance.
There are no sleep-ins required for this role.

You may already be an established Team Leader, or you could be a highly experienced Senior Therapeutic Carer / Senior Residential Support Worker who has spent several years running shifts, supporting colleagues and is now ready to progress.
You’ll need to demonstrate that you have the experience, confidence and leadership skills required to manage a team of 6–8 staff, while maintaining a therapeutic and caring environment where the needs of the young people remain at the centre of everything you do.
